Graphic Fabrication Professional

This graphics production position demands timely output of graphics from multiple digital printers, supervision of production and finishing, as well as daily, weekly and monthly inventory control to effectively meet the needs both internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple large format inkjet printers and Onyx RIP stations
  • Schedule and manage all aspects of production workflow to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Manage department performance through motivation, monitoring and coaching.
  • Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance by providing counseling, as needed
  • Perform and supervise regular maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Create and maintain ICC color profiles using Profile Maker and Onyx software
  • Learn and utilize proprietary Dynamics NAV software to perform functions of job
  • Perform product previews and training with internal and external clients
  • Cut, weed, and apply vinyl graphics to various substrates and insure proper alignment
  • Finish trimmed graphics panels with appropriate hardware
  • Package finished products using appropriate materials to minimize risk of damage during transport
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment
  • Efficiently communicate with other departments as needed to facilitate timely execution of responsibilities.
  • Read production orders, shipping orders, renderings and setup instructions to determine exhibit requirements
  • Implement quality control checks throughout production process to prevent errors and minimize loss
  • Perform accurate inventory procedures
  • Work overtime as required

Skills and Attributes

  • Must be dependable, self motivated, and very organized
  • Effective time management and prioritization
  • Advanced knowledge of large format printing and laminating
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standard RIP software (Onyx, ColrGate, Caldera, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standard vinyl cutting software (i.e. FlexiSign, SignLab)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge of color theory principles
  • Intermediate knowledge of algebra and geometry principles
  • Clearly understand written and verbal communication
  • Understand schematic drawings as applies to exhibit assembly
  • Basic knowledge and use of hand tools and measurement devices
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds
