NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR/FACILITY MANAGER

We are currently seeking a Network Administrator/Facility Manager who is a self starter with a broad technical background.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Network Administrator who is technically competent and resourceful to assume the responsibility of maintaining and managing a computer and communication network This person will be required to support multiple operating systems, administer Microsoft Exchange, implement and maintain security, troubleshoot network and desktop issues, maintain relevant documentation, and interface with users, vendors and outside service technicians. The position will also maintain backups, server hardware and security hardware. The candidate must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Active Directory and the supporting hardware and software architecture. As Facility Manager the candidate will also have responsibility for oversight of the office and warehouse facilities; including building security, bidding and purchasing of network-computer equipment, inspections, and janitorial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and manage Help Desk and all computer, printer and related peripheral Break/Fix
  • Assist remote clients in resolving a broad range of IT issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server issues including: Windows Server 2003/2008: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange Server 2003/2008
  • Troubleshoot network issues including: Sonic WALL VPN/Firewalls, Cisco Routers/Switches and Mobile devices.
  • Network Administration, User setup and maintenance
  • Symantec Backup Exec
  • Citrix Presentation Server
  • Website registrations and Internet related problems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve workstation, peripheral, and mobile device issues including: Windows XP/Vista, standard and proprietary applications, desktop and laptop hardware, various print/scan/fax devices and Mobile devices (BlackBerry/iPhone/Windows Mobile/Android)
  • Address system alerts generated by our monitoring systems
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of environment
  • Document all support activity in a help desk/case management system
  • Sonic WALL Firewall VPN
  • Toshiba phone systems
  • Enterprise-level backup and Enterprise-level antivirus solutions
  • Web Servers: IIS/Apache
  • Microsoft Office (XP/2003/2007)
  • TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS, ICMP)
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system
  • Macintosh OSX (10.4/10.5/10.6)
  • -Proprietary application support

Requirements:

  • BS/BE or equivalent experience
  • Two –Five years broad technical experience
  • A strong leader with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service by phone and email.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of environment
  • Take charge person with exceptional follow-through skills to resolution

Technical Skills:

  • Networking experience, DNS, DHCP
  • Virtualization experience, VMware or Microsoft
  • ITIL, Apple MAC, Windows 7, and Linus experience a plus
  • Microsoft Windows server operating systems (2000/2003/2008)
  • Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (XP/Vista)
  • Microsoft Exchange (2000/2003/2007)
  • Citrix Presentation Server
