Over the years, The Trade Group’s warehouse and production teams have developed a number of quality assurance (QA) practices to keep our client’s trade show exhibits and other assets in tip-top shape. These QA measures were also designed to help ensure those assets – with all parts needed for assembly – arrive unscathed and on time at each client’s designated event venue.
This system of checks and balances is vital in the world of live events, where we’ve learned to always expect the unexpected. So what quality assurances can you expect as a customer of The Trade Group?
Complete pre-event assembly and inspection in our warehouse.
Before we ship out your trade show exhibit, our team completely assembles the display at our Dallas headquarters based on the detailer’s drawings. The pre-event assembly process mimics the process that will occur at your upcoming event – including installing of all graphics, lighting, electronics and even displaying products when appropriate.
The same process holds true for exhibit rentals, except the team will refer to a pick list and grab required parts from our inventory racking. Then we add your customized graphics and other requested components.
Once assembled, the crew inspects the exhibit and related accessories for any damage or missing parts; verifies all lighting, monitors and other technology are in working order; and makes any necessary repairs or adjustments. We then take QC photographs of the display after it has been assembled and inside the crate after packing it down. Depending on the type of the job, we may even take QC photos inside the truck.
Pre-show review and sign-off.
As our client, we welcome you to come check out your display and assets at any point during your relationship with us – just give us a call. In addition, prior to an upcoming event, we ask you to choose one of the following options:
- Visit our facility to personally sign off on the “final product.”
- Request a video review of the assembled display.
- Ask your sales rep to review and sign off for you.
This review and sign-off process helps ensure your assets arrive how you expect them to at your next trade show or corporate event.
Thorough post-show inspection back at our warehouse.
When your assets are returned to our site, they go through a thorough check-in process. Upon receipt, our team opens every crate, lays out all of the parts and reviews the packing list to see if any parts are missing – nuts, bolts, TV remotes, wiring, light bulbs, door handles, signage, etc.
At this point, we also check for any damage and test all electronics. As with the pre-event inspection, we can arrange for necessary repairs or refurbishment based on your needs and approval. Then all components will be repacked and stored.
This check-in process applies to both customer owned and rental assets. Depending on your preference, we can ship your assets back to you or store them at our Dallas warehouse.

One-of-a-kind, crating system to expedite delivery and protect assets.
When you purchase or rent a trade show exhibit from The Trade Group, all of the necessary components – from the display itself to accessories and electronics – are all packed safely in the proprietary gray crates we build onsite.
Since the crates are color coded, they are easy to spot in a sea of wooden crates, which makes it easier for you or our team to locate them at the event venue. This can be a huge time saver. In addition, we clearly label every crate either with your name – or if we’ll be handling installation and dismantle for you – The Trade Group’s.
We also built casters into the crates, which provides additional time-saving and efficiency benefits. Using built-in casters eliminates the need for a forklift should you need to reposition the crate from one side of a large booth space to the other. The crate easily moves where you need it, saving time during set-up and tear down.
These durable, custom crates are expensive to build, but they provide more peace of mind. Our crates do a much better job at preventing assets and delicate electronics from being damaged, so they are definitely worth the investment.
