The Dallas-based design firm earned recognition for exhibit stand and experiential design work and a total of five awards in four categories, including the games industry, healthcare, travel & tourism and food & drink. This is the second year the awards program has been held and second time The Trade Group has been recognized by the World Exhibition Stand Awards.

DALLAS—June 18, 2020The Trade Group, an award-winning, event marketing and experiential design firm, is pleased to announce that the company, in collaboration with five clients, has been recognized in multiple categories for the 2020 World Exhibition Stand Awards. The organization notified winners of their achievements on June 5, 2020.

This is the second annual World Exhibition Stand Awards, which was launched to “celebrate the very best in exhibition stand design and experience whatever the show, wherever in the world, whoever the client.” Upon release of finalist names this past February, World Exhibition Stand Awards Manager Lisa Farnfield stated, “Both quality and quantity of the designs submitted this year have been exceptionally high.”

The Trade Group earned two Platinum awards in the Best Stand at a Games Industry Event category. The company was recognized for its work with Google Stadia at gamescom 2019, which included a custom, branded, three-story glass elevator and slide that allowed attendees to “jump into the game” via a green screen photo opp.

In collaboration with Oculus at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2019, The Trade Group created the Platinum award winning, multi-faceted 50’x80’ stand, which highlighted the experiential aspects of Oculus’ VR technology. The space featured a double deck structure, numerous VR demo rooms and interactive photo opps for attendees.

The awards program also recognized The Trade Group in the Hotel & Tourism Event category for the G6 Hospitality (parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands) stand at the Asian American Hospitality Owners Association Convention 2019. The collaboration earned a Gold award for the stand and experiential activation featuring a double deck structure mimicking the company’s iconic tower, private meeting rooms and virtual reality demo.

The Trade Group also earned two Silver awards for Best Stand at a Healthcare Event and Best Stand Food & Drink. The winning collaboration with Nutribiotech (healthcare) featured a global theme (including a custom-made 3-D globe) and clean, modern design elements.

Also earning a Silver award was the stand designed in collaboration with Bridor for the National Restaurant Association Show 2019. The bakery product manufacturer’s 20’x20’ stand included a fully functioning kitchen, pastry display and a design theme that transported visitors to a classic French bakery.

According to Chris Stone, Co-Founder and CEO of The Trade Group, “Our team is incredibly grateful to be recognized by the World Exhibition Stand Awards for these five stands. We consider it an honor to work with each and every one of these clients and help them meet their trade show, experiential, event marketing, gaming and brand activation goals.”
