DALLAS— August 20, 2020—The Trade Group—an award-winning, creative and experiential design firm—is pleased to announce that it recently donated design, manufacturing and installation services of safety signage and equipment to the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). The items were installed throughout the NTFB’s Perot Family Campus in Plano, including warehouse, production line, office, kitchen and conference room workspaces, as well as restrooms and elevators.
According to Robin Dean, Senior Design Consultant at The Trade Group, “We’re honored to be able to donate these safety solutions to the North Texas Food Bank, an organization that feeds thousands of North Texas families, children and seniors every day. We also hope that the signage, face shields and sanitizer stations The Trade Group has donated will bring peace of mind to the hundreds of employees and volunteers continuing to work hard to feed our communities during the pandemic.”
Dean, who toured the NTFB’s Plano location in June, enjoyed working with The Trade Group’s design and production teams to create a customized solution for the diverse and expansive facility. The deliverables included different types of safety, awareness and social distancing signage, including banners, banner stands, floor decals and window and mirror clings.
The Trade Group also donated a custom 15-foot clear, acrylic, protective reception shield to provide separation between the receptionist and guests. Other deliverables included hand sanitizer stations with custom graphics and PPE face shields for employees and volunteers to help mitigate virus spread.
According to Anna Kurian, Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications for NTFB, “We’re a critical organization, and an essential organization, so we have been allowed to stay open throughout this time. But in order to maintain that safety we need to make sure people follow safety protocols. We’re grateful to have received these items from the Trade Group because it helps us keep our employees, our staff and everyone who comes through the door safe.”
While The Trade Group may be known for its design and fabrication work for the trade show industry, the company has also been designing office and corporate interiors for years. The company tapped into this area of expertise as it has been helping more organizations, like the North Texas Food Bank, modify workspaces to enhance safety during COVID-19.
“The Trade Group helps clients transform their office and work spaces utilizing the same materials we use as a part of our custom design solutions for the event and trade show industry. In light of COVID-19, it was a natural path for us to add safety solutions to our list of offerings, too. We stock most of the materials we use onsite and also have complete printing and fabricating capabilities in house. Having these resources on hand makes it easy for us to turn projects around quickly and provide the turnkey solutions our clients really appreciate,” Dean says.
