The Dallas-based firm’s full-service, custom interior design solutions allow companies to transform offices into workspaces that address post-pandemic employee safety, peace of mind and functional needs, while aligning with corporate branding and other unique goals. The stem-to-stern solutions—manufactured by The Trade Group in the U.S.—also simplify the process for facility managers tasked with making significant office interior changes in a short period time.

DALLAS—June 2, 2020—Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Trade Group—an award-winning, event marketing and experiential design firm—pivoted from its core business of designing and building trade show exhibits and experiential environments to creating workplace solutions that help businesses enhance safety, productivity and aesthetics in a post-quarantine world. Since the company also provides corporate interior design services, the pivot to designing safer work environments made perfect sense.

According to Kevin Colis, Sales Consultant at The Trade Group, “When the reality of COVID-19 hit, our team wanted to tap into our 30 years of experience designing and building branded environments and use that expertise to provide a valuable service for today’s world. Whether it’s a trade show exhibit or corporate interior, we’re used to approaching projects from a comprehensive viewpoint and molding and shaping entire spaces. We felt that comprehensive approach was missing in the marketplace and knew we could help.”

Since late spring, The Trade Group has been manufacturing custom signage, awareness and safety banners, floor decals to promote social distancing, reception and cubicle guards, facial shields, sanitation stations and other products to meet client needs during the pandemic. The Trade Group’s design and fabrication teams are based in Carrolton, Texas, where all custom products are manufactured onsite.

While many standalone, generic safety solutions—like signage and hand sanitizing stations—are available online, The Trade Group’s workplace solutions allow companies to get everything they need for a fully customized and branded office transformation in one place. Unlike one-size-fits all options, analyzing each company’s needs in regard to safety, productivity, branding and culture are all important considerations when The Trade Group consults with prospective clients.

As Senior Design Consultant Claire Amberson Phillips explains, “The Trade Group is known for its ability to tailor designs to the specific company or brand we’re serving. This translates to the workplace just as it does to a trade show environment. We take a consultative approach that isn’t cookie cutter or one-size-fits-all. Rather, we work with clients to understand their unique workplace cultures and develop solutions that will fit their specific needs.”

COVID-19 has presented a variety of challenges for companies and facility managers looking to create safer workplaces. “Many facility managers don’t have an eye for design or experience in spatial planning—two specialty areas of The Trade Group. Our team can lift that burden off their shoulders. We also realize budgets are tight for many companies due to the pandemic. That’s why we’re 100 percent committed to creating solutions that keep our clients’ budgetary objectives in mind,” says Colis.
